Where is the best location to place the Track Stick in a vehicle?
GPS Signal cannot go thru metal so you have to be creative when putting the TrackStick in a vehicle. The best locations are in the front or rear dashboards with the embossed globe facing the sky is the best spot where the GPS can see the sky and have a direct line of sight to the satellites. If you want to be covert we suggest putting the TrackStick II (because it is small enough) in a magazine, stuffed animal, tissue box or umbrella. Then put it in the rear/front dashboard. Plastic, glass, cardboard for example will not block the signal. ONLY METAL. We have had success in getting a signal inside a glove box or under the dash without any metal between it and the sky, but the glove box has to be up toward the front of the windshield so it can see out the windshield. Finally, you can put the TrackStick inside of a Plastic Bumper the signal will go thru plastic, attach it with some Industrial Strength Velcro which actually works better than magnets.
Some customers have reported the Track Stick works fine under or between the car’s front seats but it is not recommended for reliable operation.

Motion: The motion setting is simply an invisible fence that the Track Stick uses as a reference to know when it is in motion. Increasing this area will make the Track Stick record less locations. Decreasing it will cause the Track Stick to record locations closer together.
What is GPS Wobble? This is used to adjust the sensitivity to motion when the Track Stick is not moving. Increasing this setting will delay the Track Stick response time when a person or vehicle begins to move again.
